New Years
In this lesson we focus on learning about New Years. Students will learn, what it is, what it means, and some important words to know related to the occasion. The vocabulary covered includes (bubbly drinks, champagne, sparkling water, fireworks, balloon, cheers, toast, salutation, confetti, streamers, noisemaker, party, resolution). There is a fun game looking at pictures and talking about what resolution they think it is. There is an activity/video about the origins of the occasion. Finally, there is some reading about New Years traditions from 15 different countries.
