Life events

This course was created to help students discuss life stages, future possibilities, and hopes and dreams. At the moment, there are two lessons:

Stages of life – Students discuss different life stages ( teenager, young adult, etc.). They focus on the functional language used to make predictions about their lives and the lives of others through controlled and free practice. By the end of this lesson, students will be able to use phrases to discuss future possibilities.

Making decisions -Students discuss difficult life choices and their results. The target grammar is subordinating conjunctions and their uses. Students will roleplay different difficult situations and give advice to their partners. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use subordinating conjunctions in order to discuss the results of difficult life choices many of us make in life.

I’ve been teaching ESL since 2015. After obtaining my CELTA, I moved to Russia to teach English and practice Russian. I worked for a large English company and tutored privately on the side. I am a language learner myself, and I understand that speaking a foreign language is not easy for everyone. I enjoy helping my students improve their English and will continue to do so as long as I’m a teacher.
