Brian’s Intermediate/Advanced ESL Teaching Corner: Cell Phones
Description: Students will learn some useful words related to how we use our phones. Students will hear from five students (characters in the lesson) and how they use their phones. Afterwards, students will discuss their thoughts about how the characters use their cell phones.
Age range: Upper elementary – middle school, adult
Level: Upper intermediate – advanced ESL student
VIPKID equivalent: level 6-8
Vocabulary: app, social media, search engine
*Note: Many people in China pronounce ‘APP’ as individual letters: A-P-P. This is a good chance to let them know that in English, we don’t say it that way.

This lesson is part of the Pros & Cons curriculum.
If you enjoy this lesson please check out the other lessons in the series as well.
All my lessons are catered towards upper intermediate and advanced students. Every lesson in the pros and cons curriculum has been tested on with multiple students. These lessons were made based on parent expectations: conversation-based, maximizing student output, open-ended questions, and something along the lines of debate.
